Daniel Coates’ mission with his music and sound healing is to make people feel loved and to uplift and inspire.
He spent the last 10 years travelling the world, searching for knowledge and meaning. His journey took him to all corners of the globe. He studied with healers, gurus and shamen and met many who had been cured of cancer and AIDS in Mexico and Brazil. He learned about healing with hands, food, herbs, faith, water, breath and most importantly of all music and sound.
Somewhere on the journey a chorus drifted in. This was followed by a verse and a song started to take shape. A connection had been made with the Universe and songs came on their own. The songs contained a deep wisdom, messages of transformation for Daniel and for the world.
In the mountains of Argentina, Daniel met New York Producer Marcelo “Chello” de Villegas. They built a studio from scratch and invited musicians to come and play. If someone walked by with a musical instrument in hand they were invited in. Some were locals and some were international travellers. The result was Daniel’s first album “Connect”.
Daniel says of his first album “Connect” “the wisdom contained in the songs is universal wisdom not personal wisdom”. “I wrote the songs but really I just had the pen and the guitar ready at the right times to receive what arrived”.
“The messages contained within the songs, are a recipe for my own personal transformation. The messages are simple, but the most powerful messages are always simple”.
“Moreover when messages come in a musical format, we can dance the messages, sing the messages and vibrate with the messages. The messages then can absorbed into our consciousness much more readily”.
In England in 2006 Dan met Alexander Massey, an Opera Singer and Shaman who had developed Dreamsounding, a form of Sound Healing. Dreamsounding is deeply a relaxing and therapeutic experience that uses the power of the voice and musical instruments to restore harmony to the Body, Mind and Spirit.
Dan has been practicing and evolving Dreamsounding for the past 5 years and has held workshops in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, the UK and Australia. Dan also uses Dreamsounding to channel melodies which he later turns
